Have you noticed something stirring in you about ministry beyond the walls of your local church? When you watch the evening news you have noticed your heart aching about the needs, hurts and darkness in our region. Things you might once have tuned out are now moving you to tears, changing your prayer life? When you hear of real transformation happening in other parts of the world through the power of the gospel, prayer, and service in communities - is there a growing burning in your soul to see this in your neighborhood, county, and region? These things are the move of God’s Spirit on your soul. Leaders in God’s Church, We are sending this invitation today from a team of passionate regional leaders who have decided their differences will no longer keep them apart. We’ve come together around Jesus’ prayer for Unity, and the gospel of Jesus, to fast, pray and serve in our communities for years now. We are issuing you a call in this sacred assembly: “This is the time, for the leaders in God’s Church to stand up and become the One Church of Baltimore by praying and serving together. Many of us have been gathering in prayer by the hundreds monthly all over our region. We have been praying with city, county and state officials in government, medicine, business, education, law enforcement. We have been prayer walking our communities and the city. We have been serving by the thousands during ServeFest, Convoy of Hope and other manifestations of God’s grace to see God’s Kingdom come and his will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven. Breakthroughs are beginning to take place. The homicide rate in Baltimore is the lowest in 30 years. One police commander in Baltimore City has committed his entire district to the saving power of Christ and is working with the church to build transformation teams. School principles are inviting believers in to pray for their campuses. Medical teams are asking the Church for advice and help in reducing the spread of Aids. As the Church prays, God is opening doors for those ready to humbly serve.
